Qualifications – Qualified candidates will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment in a manufacturing setting. In this role, you will be expected to follow production schedules, ensure quality control, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Your Opportunity – In the Production Technician position, using wiring schematics and assembly specifications, you will perform any combination of the tasks listed below through verbal or detailed written instructions to assemble component parts of photonic curing systems.

 Responsibilities:

  • Read process routing, wiring diagrams, and similar production planning documents or drawings
  • Assemble signal and control enclosures
  • Electrical component assembly; multi-conductor cable assembly, wire harness assembly
  • Assemble cabinets, chassis, consoles, or similar devices and install them with electronic or electro-mechanical equipment
  • Clean and de-gloss parts using cleaning devices, solutions, and abrasives
  • Perform informal, in-process self-checks on manufactured items to assist in formal inspection and/or test
  • Work with high-voltage equipment
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Understanding of 6s and other Lean Principles.  
  • Assist with other related jobs as directed

Qualifications:

  • At least Class 1 soldering skills – certification a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience in hands-on technical equipment assembly
  • Ability to use precision hand tools such as wire crimpers, strippers, and cutters
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Hands-on experience in electrical testing and troubleshooting
  • Experience with electrical and/or mechanical systems
  • General competence with standard Microsoft software
  • Lean Manufacturing Experience
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Experience working with chemicals or in hazardous environments a plus
